Congratulations to Hiromi Kubo, public services librarian and liaison to the Craig School of Business, who was accepted to participate in the data literacy workshop, Librarians Teaching with Data: Designing Hands-on Activities with FRED and GeoFRED offered by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis and Princeton University.
This data literacy workshop teaches about designing and writing hands-on activities using FRED or GeoFRED economic databases. The program culminates in activity creation to teach broad data literacy skills using FRED’s wide variety of social science data, which will have the opportunity for peer-review and publication through the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.
Entrance to the program is very competitive, accepting only 15 applications out of a pool of over 90. Congratulations again to Hiromi, whose work and talents continue to be an asset to students and faculty at Fresno State!
