Open Access is about making scholarly research freely available to anyone. Ironically, publishing via Open Access isn’t always accessible for authors. The fees charged to publish often create an obstacle for authors here at Fresno State, hindering their ability to share their work with the global community.
To alleviate that obstacle, it is my honor to announce that the Henry Madden Library has created an Open Access Publishing Fund to subsidize these fees for Fresno State faculty and graduate students who wish to publish their work in Open Access journals. Making more Fresno State scholarship available through Open Access will potentially increase its impact as well as enhance the scholarly and scientific reputation of the University.
The fund provides up to $2000 per article, with a limit of $2000 per author per academic year. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until funding for the year has been exhausted. Please share this news with your colleagues and graduate students.
